Urban Nature NE

Save Newcastle Wildlife has been awarded a grant from Postcode Local Trust, funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, to inspire and engage Newcastle’s youngsters with nature and the outdoors.

Urban Nature NE is a programme of inspirational workshops, activities and events to encourage appreciation of wildlife in Newcastle.

The project will focus specifically on wildlife in and around Havannah and Three Hills Nature Reserve, in Hazlerigg.

Children will have the opportunity to learn about birds, bats, butterflies, frogs, toads, newts and red squirrels.

The first session takes place on Sunday 9th April, from 10am until 12pm, in the Hazlerigg and District War Memorial Community Centre.

Places are limited and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please email info@savenewcastlewildlife.co.uk to book a place.
